Jay & Kristi Ross met in Steamboat Springs, CO in 1989 and they where married there in 1995.  They have made their residence in several other States since then, but Jay says: “When we left Colorado 14 years ago I knew in my heart we would be back.  We chose Fort Collins because of its mild winters, vibrant college atmosphere and local charm.”

The Ross’ are both licensed REALTORS™.  Jay brings with him 30 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling. His first job was at the age of 13 helping his father build a passive solar, earth sheltered home. After attended Engineering College at Iowa State University, Jay continued to work in construction.  He owned and operated a home remodeling company for over 10 years.

Jay & Kristi have personally owned and managed dozens of investment properties. They got their start in real estate as investors buying and selling HUD and Fannie Mae owned properties. They have experience in “flipping” properties and have personally used the 1031 like-kind exchange to defer capital gains taxes. Their experience can help you avoid some common mistakes.
